Job Purpose:


As the VP, Digital Activation, your strong emphasis on business growth and organizational development, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company. Your role encompasses leading the operations of our Digital practice areas, including Search, Commerce, Social, and Programmatic, while ensuring the overall activation of our digital efforts.


You'll work closely with agency leadership and practice leads to establish and reinforce foundational processes and practices. Your keen eye for innovation will be instrumental in developing a future vision and direction that keeps us ahead of the competition. You're not just satisfied with the status quo; you consistently challenge and raise the bar, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the digital landscape.


Collaboration is at the heart of your approach, as you work hand-in-hand with Client Business Leads and Practice Leads to understand their strengths and identify opportunities for growth. Your ability to identify and capitalize on these opportunities will be a driving force behind the business's expansion.


Looking ahead, you'll embark on a collaborative journey with PHD leadership, OMG capabilities, and specialty areas of development. This workstream will be the catalyst for future vision and development, shaping our strategies to propel the business towards new heights of success.

As the VP, Digital Activation, you'll wield your leadership skills to inspire and guide the team towards excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Digital Evolution 10%

  • Liaise with OMG capabilities to evolve and adopt- leading edge capabilities, tools and best practices into the agency practices.
  • Identify future forward opportunities for development and emerging areas of the business.
  • Work closely with practice and client leads to hear what is on the horizon for expanding support and delivery for client success.


Client Liaison 30%

  • Serve as the primary senior contact for key accounts, conducting regular reviews with senior-level Clients to ensure their satisfaction levels are consistently met or exceeded
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with all key senior agency personnel, as well as other Client stakeholders, including creative agencies, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Lead and stay updated on Marketing Technology (Martech) advancements, identifying capabilities to leverage for driving automation and sophisticated digital workflows, such as data management, Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO), AI optimization within biddable platforms, and system integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with digital standards and procurement processes, collaborating closely with leads and supporting teams.
  • Provide oversight to digital leads and specialists, ensuring the delivery of digital requirements and best-in-class service and capabilities.


Digital Activation (all digital channels) /Team Administration 35%

  • Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet Client expectations while effectively managing workflow and resource utilization.
  • Foster a culture of strong team dynamics and morale, promptly addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure timely completion of Growth Plans for team members, facilitating their professional progress.
  • Cultivate team spirit and adherence to PHD Values.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and effective management to team leaders/practice leaders.
  • Facilitate seamless integration of other disciplines and functions within our structure, such as Activation/Investment, Marketing Science, and Strategy.
  • Identify potential flight risks and individuals seeking a change of accounts/roles, proactively addressing retention and talent management.
  • Support, promote, and integrate new OMG initiatives, including Sign It, Plan it, OMG Marketplaces, etc.
  • Oversee salary, staff digital activation (across all digital channels), and recruitment efforts.
  • Define overall strategic direction for addressing Client business needs, ensuring all work adheres to PHD standards and Best Practices.
  • Provide dedicated support and integration of OMNI/OMNI Studio initiatives.
  • Foster continuous learning and development within the team by encouraging participation in training and educational programs to maintain skill set requirements and promote career advancement.
  • Provide valuable input to the President/Managing Director for team salary budget development.
  • Ensure accurate financial data in the system by overseeing monthly checks of BCRs to reflect client approvals (monthly sign-off required in Accounting) and eliminate process gaps.


Internal Corporate Leadership 10%

  • Demonstrate flexibility in resource allocation to adapt to the evolving needs of teams and clients.
  • Support talent development initiatives and proactively identify growth opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate with PHD leadership and Directors across platforms and verticals to develop, adapt, build, and roll out Digital Activation (across all digital channels) Discipline initiatives.
  • Provide monthly summaries to senior management regarding Client profitability, major account activity, and staffing needs.
  • Actively participate in regular meetings with the Leadership team, voicing opinions, suggestions, and insights to drive collaboration among practice areas.
  • Promote shared knowledge and resources within the organization and extended organizations within Omnicom.
  • Facilitate common practices and ensure the adoption of Omni Studio / Omni strategies.
  • Collaborate on Test & Learn and Measurement Framework initiatives while aligning closely with Client business planning efforts.
