VP, Creative & Digital Experience

Golin Toronto is looking for a VP, Creative & Digital Experience to join (and grow) our social and digital team. You will play a vital role as mentor for a team of digital and social media strategists and tacticians, while delivering creative and results-driven solutions for our clients.


This all-encompassing digital role will have you identifying and providing a POV on real-time opportunities, issues and trends, as well as create and execute large and small-scale marketing campaigns for clients. Your role will include overseeing our award-winning influencer work, fostering integration among IAT and PR teams, driving channel and social strategy, and creating creative and strategic content to run across a variety of digital platforms (including organic and paid) to drive optimal results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work directly with account teams and digital team to develop inspirational multi-channel strategies to help elevate our clients’ brands
  • Oversee work of junior employees across social media strategy, content creation, community management, influencer outreach and engagement, analytics and more
  • Develop a network of social media influencers, digital / social media contacts, etc. for our clients
  • Provide strategic counsel and advise on digital/social campaigns and tactics across the ecosystem of paid, earned, shared and owned media
  • Collaborate in the practice’s management and growth
  • Own the digital strategy process; see the need, lead the brainstorm, and begin to identify other team members to create award-winning work
  • Lead and mentor junior to mid-level team members to build a culture of high performance
  • Bring analytics and insights to the table through your own experience, as well as through the broader Golin team
  • Take a proactive approach to leading and building business, strategy, and platforms
  • Work with the team to create compelling content calendars, creative and copywriting
  • Serve as the Digital client relationship leader for Golin Toronto clients (provide senior counsel, create and manage client budgets, lead the team and our daily work in digital)
  • Play a leadership role both within the Digital team and across the agency
  • When necessary, roll up your sleeves and get into execution mode as both player and coach
  • Regularly share trends and perspective with Golin team and our clients
  • Identify client objectives and learn how to integrate digital and traditional communication strategies



What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field with 10+ years of experience driving and executing digital / social media / influencer marketing campaigns
  • A self-starter mentality – you don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do next
  • A strong understanding of traditional media and content marketing strategies, ability to integrate campaign strategies and tactics across earned, owned and paid media, and apply analytics to measure results and provide insights
  • Poise and calm under pressure and a desire to immerse yourself in a client's business to become a true partner
  • Strong creative and strategic thinking with the ability to deliver innovative programs and approaches
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to execute and measure multifaceted campaigns and day-to-day communications initiatives
  • Confidence when presenting no matter the size of the group or situation
  • Experience managing large digital/social programs from start to finish
  • Passion for client service and an ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Ability to galvanize internal teams to approach communications with a “digital-first” mindset
  • Experience managing and leading an account team and working with large fully integrated teams
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous situations and navigating challenging situations
  • Impeccable client relationship skills and experience
  • Ability to work with vendors and manage small and large scale budgets
  • A solutions-oriented mindset
