Manulife / John Hancock is seeking a Manager, Enablement & Activation, to support our Global Retirement portfolio, in Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM). The successful candidate will collaborate with business partners on best practices to enable new marketing technology to achieve omnichannel engagement across multiple audiences.
They will need technical, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to work across teams. They will be passionate about educating and empowering others about marketing technology and will encourage a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and vendors
  • Ensure outbound digital campaigns are consistent with brand messaging
  • Develop and implement strategies for outbound digital channels that are aligned with the marketing plan and business objectives, using marketing technology for omnichannel engagement
  • Work as a great teammate to integrate, empower, and establish relationships with cross-functional teams and collaborators
  • Analyze campaign metrics to optimize campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize and improve the digital customer experience
Competencies
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce and Adobe platforms, such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, DTM, CDP, Salesforce CRM, Seismic, Tiled, and Google Analytics 360
  • A clear understanding of how technology can help grow the business
  • Intellectual curiosity to understand the entire Manulife Investment Management portfolio, audiences, and tech stack
  • Knowledge of the financial industry (retirement sector) is considered advantageous
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Strategic & Project Management
  • Actively look for ways to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies and recommend new strategies and tools to improve the digital customer experience and drive business growth
  • Analytical experiences such as Data Analysis, Funnel Analytics, Segmentation, Forecasting, Hypothesis Testing, and Model Building
  • Interpret results of various measurements, trends, and analytical reports to recommend changes in strategy, audience targeting, media selection, messaging, and content
  • Be able to collect requirements, use cases, hypotheses and experiments for targeting, personalization, and A/B testing
Collaboration
  • Proven experience working in a matrix environment, handling multiple collaborators
  • Plans and oversees the preparation and dissemination of project communications
  • Eager to be part of a team of agile partners who play a critical role as models for change
  • Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship-building skills, across all levels of management
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as digital agencies or technology vendors, to ensure that the company's digital experience capabilities are best-in-class and aligned with industry standards
Delivery
  • Results-oriented, prioritizes work activities, and plans and stays organized to meet commitments
  • Develop and handle project governance plans, project schedules, and team goals, defining success criteria, project achievements, and budgets
  • Ability to influence, recommend and redirect teams as well as handle collaborator expectations during the engagement
Role Requirements
  • Experience in B2B enterprise marketing and B2C direct-to-consumer marketing
  • 6+ years of proven digital transformation experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a marketing and/or information technology-related field
  • Knowledge and expertise in digital marketing omnichannel tactics

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Toronto, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
$82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
