About the Role:
Our company is seeking an experienced Manager, Infrastructure Services to oversee the design, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure and datacenter management, as well as a proven track record of leading successful infrastructure teams.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and vendors.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, backup and Azure cloud services.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, including security and operations, to ensure servers and systems are secure.
- Providing oversight and direction to a highly skilled team of technical specialists
- Conducting annual performance reviews of full-time staff
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that our infrastructure stays current and competitive.
- Instill a culture of continuous improvement and best practices among your team
- Ensure Audit items are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.
- ‘Hands On’ management of the day-to-day activities
Your Qualifications:
- Initiative to take charge of a problem, and a strong sense of responsibility and ownership for problem resolution.
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on Azure and datacenter management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Some travel required to our GTA datacenters
- Azure certifications preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure Services and Applications: Windows Server management, MS Active Directory, Group Policy, File Services (SMB, CIFS, DFS, NFS), Network Services (DNS, DHCP), FTP/SFTP, Backup (Rubrik).
- Strong knowledge of the Azure public cloud ecosystem including servers, storage, networking, ARM templates / Terraform, PowerShell and deployment best practices.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and able to schedule resources according to existing priorities
- Experience within the financial services industry a strong asset
- Willingness to assume new responsibilities with the changing business and technology requirements
- Strong knowledge of network and server infrastructure, cloud computing, and security best practices.
- Sound knowledge of the following technologies: VMWare, Cisco UCS, Dell/EMC Unity.
