March of Dimes Canada (MODC) is a federally registered national charity that offers a wide variety of programs and services to Canadians living with disabilities. The IT & Digital Innovation team is looking to fill this key leadership role, which will lead the execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy, ensuring employees, volunteers and clients have the technical capabilities to achieve their goals.
Profile:
As Director, Infrastructure and IT Operations, reporting to the VP of IT and Digital Innovation, you’ll use your significant and progressively senior experience to:
· Provide technical and hands-on strategic leadership to in-house and vendor teams when designing and delivering transformative initiatives across a nation-wide organization, including: data centre and cloud migrations, VOIP and telecommunications modernization, cybersecurity, hardware/mobility and enterprise applications.
· Build relationships with teams across the organization to ensure user needs are supported through technology, infrastructure and processes.
· Lead systems and network support teams, including in-house and outsourced help desk functions, in support of Windows, iOS, O365 and Azure environments as well as legacy systems.
· Use data to drive decisions, both strategic and operational.
· Own and manage key IT policies and procedures, including security, knowledge management, incident management, and disaster recovery.
· Bring a curious and innovative mindset, ensuring infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives optimally fit into multi-year roadmap as part of annual and in-year budgetary cycles.
Please note: This position is part of the national team, reporting into the Toronto office; however, MODC is a remote-friendly organization and has the tools to support remote work up to 4 days a week.
Qualifications and Experience:
Technical Knowledge:
· You have significant experience and understanding of the range of infrastructure, hardware, software and SaaS technologies needed to support an organization’s needs, including:
o Microsoft portfolio, including: Office 365, Sharepoint, Dynamics 365
o Cloud: Azure and AWS
o VOIP, unified communications systems
o Windows, Mac and iOS device management
o ServiceDesk applications and ticket management
o Data and analytics platforms and reporting
o Networking and Wifi
· You stay on top of leading trends for infrastructure and technology through research and networking, and can identify opportunities to optimize or improve based on business and needs.
· You are passionate about cybersecurity and have delivered continuous and responsive improvements in technology, process, and training, including:
o Firewall, VPN, NAC, zero-trust identity management
o SEIM or other continuous monitoring service
· You are comfortable with ITIL and ITSM concepts and processes.
· You have delivered programs and policies related to enterprise use of technology, including:
o Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning
o Enterprise document management
o Data lifecycle management
o Asset and equipment lease management
o Change management
Strategic and Project Management Skills:
- You are comfortable developing and implementing strategies that accomplish business objectives
- You are comfortable leading a team through multiple simultaneous projects, and can set clear priorities and clear blockers
- You are experienced leading a portfolio that is both operational and transformational, including budgeting, reporting, and risk management
- You have led significant change initiatives in your previous work, and are comfortable leading in an evolving organization
Communication Skills:
- You are confident clearly communicating technical ideas and concepts to non-technical leadership and stakeholders, verbally, visually and in writing
- You are a collaborative member of a team, working well with colleagues across lines of business for the best outcomes
- You apply a coaching mindset when working with your team and others
