Job Title: IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer (DevOps focus)

An experienced IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer with strong engineering skills to join our rapidly growing IT Infrastructure Managed Services team. In this position you will have the opportunity to work with multiple hosted clients to evaluate and engineer new technologies, architect, and design new solutions, and implement new technologies. As part of a larger SCS team, you will have a key role in providing valuable contribution to business and information technology stakeholders and solve business and technical challenges. The candidate for this position will be expected to support customer projects from initiation through completion, collaborating with other Sapiens team members and customer resources to help execute IT strategies, achieve goals and objectives, and improve business and IT operations. The candidate is expected to play a significant role in customer engagements while maintaining additional internal (non-client) responsibilities.

Professional Responsibilities

• Conduct research to bring innovative solutions to a complex environment to improve processes and tech stack.
• Contribute to design, implementation and configuration of infrastructure technologies including cloud technologies, network services, virtualization technologies, email services and core infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, File/Print services, Network Policy Services, Private Key Infrastructure, etc.
• Build and maintain a cloud-native platform Infrastructure following the "infrastructure as code" principal.
• Leading cross-functional projects and initiatives
• Experience writing shell scripts to handle complex automation/administration.
• Maintain and optimize the application layer of a multi-DC environment.
• Engage in conducting security assessments.
• Experience analyzing activity log files and diagnosing application server problems using Log Analyzer and other tools like Thread Analyzer, GC analyzer and Heap Analyzer.
• Contribute to infrastructure implementation, Automation, deployment, testing, documenting and maintenance of Client/Server, Web based applications in multi - tiered architecture, Internet/Intranet infrastructure and clustered environments.
• Lead POC and tech selection processes from idea to implementation
• Experience with server Performance Tuning - Thread Dump Analysis, Core Dump Analysis, etc.
• Design, and implement secure, resilient, and cost-efficient architecture for our cloud-native platform service.
• Application and infrastructure logging and monitoring solutions
• Deliver solutions, architectures, and automation for Sapiens Applications
• Engage in developing technology standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• EC2, S3, EFS, RDS (Oracle), Storage gateway, VPC, Direct connect, Transit Gateway, ELB, Auto Scaling, ACM, Cloud Front, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, IAM, RDS, AWS Backup
• At least 2-years’ experience with automation tools – Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, etc.
• At least 3 years of experience administering Linux servers and strong knowledge of RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS, troubleshooting, performance tuning and patching.
• Email systems such as Microsoft Exchange and online email systems such as Exchange Online, Gmail etc.
• Virtualized systems such as VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix
• Core infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, File/Print services, Network Policy Services, Private Key Infrastructure, etc.
• Good understanding of monitoring stacks – ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, Azure.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and strong academic
• Hands-on experience in developing, deploying, tuning, and debugging applications on Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of networking and interconnected systems
• Cloud -Hands-on experience in working on public Cloud Azure, AWS
• Experience with a live production environment
• Cloud services such as Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services
• At least 2-years’ experience with Java Programming language, Installation, configuration/ Web application deployment.

• Troubleshooting experience with Linux operational deployments
• Hands on experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting JBOSS, RabbitMQ, Apache
• At least 2 years of experience administering Windows servers.
• Security – knowledge with web security aspects as WAF, certificates, OS hardening, security policies, VPNs – Advantage.
• IT network concepts, standards, protocols, and strategies
• Must possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the following:
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Highly skilled in deployment, data security and troubleshooting of the applications using AWS Services
• Sizable scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, Bash Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby. Proficient with git and git workflows.
