The Infrastructure Platform Development team is responsible for architecting, building, operating and observing our cloud infrastructure to ensure we are performant, secure and available for our customers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Own the cross-functional roadmap for Infrastructure Platform in partnership with the organization
• Work with Security, Engineering, Product and Client teams to identify gaps, scope requirements, prioritize and execute key deliverables
• Lead the Infrastructure platform team and help define the long term vision for the organization
• Keep tabs on the changing business landscape and product roadmap to anticipate potential risks and strategically align future projects
• Mentor, coach, and grow a cross functional team of infrastructure developers
• Collaborate to develop products, systems, and solutions that serve the business while leveraging industry best practices in Cloud Infrastructure design, performance, security and scalability

We are looking for someone who:

• Can collaborate with Infrastructure Security to implement our compliance and best practice programs
• Has a working knowledge of Cloud best practices, policies, standards, and baselines, including industry standards and guidelines, for example Cloud Native Computing Foundation best practices, SOC2/SOC1 and PCI
• Takes ownership and sees initiatives through
• Lives the philosophy of automating complex systems and software. You excel at finding and fixing infrastructure concerns and deficiencies in them
• Nice to have any of the following certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, CCSK
• Is an experienced engineering leader with a meaningful background working with cloud infrastructure
• Has demonstrated experience working with cloud vendors to evaluate, procure, negotiate, and administer new systems and control
• Teaches and learns from your team. We value making others successful!
• Has a track record of building strong, impactful teams. You enjoy building teams and seeing your teammates excel in dynamic and varied technical and business domain areas
• Has the ability to prioritize effectively, balancing immediate business needs with team health and long-term strategic objectives
• Values open communication and working on an exceptionally transparent team

We're looking for strong knowledge in:

• Cloud platforms and their various offerings (AWS, GCP and Azure)
• Orchestration tools including Kubernetes, Nomad, Terraform, and Ansible
• Common networking systems and protocols
• Database Systems and data platforms
• Network Security (including firewalls, IDS, NAC, Secure Web Gateway/VPN, and other filtering controls)
• CI/CD Platforms including ArgoCD, Github Actions, Rundeck
• Cloud Security tools to help secure AWS (including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings)
• IAM best practices and implementation
• Scripting and automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell, and other languages

Nice to have systems and cloud-related interests:

• You’ve built out your own orchestration environment and have a home lab or project to show
• You stay current and up-to-speed on evolving security threats and countermeasures
• You’ve participated in game day challenges and other managed labs with cloud vendors
• A love of all things Infrastructure and Cloud related
• You’ve completed cloud-related certifications or guided training for individuals who are seeking their certification
