What role will you play?

This role is part of Container Platform Team which is responsible for design, implementation, and managing platforms that help project teams build and deploy their applications.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As part of this team you will:

• Design, implement and manage infrastructure pipelines including but not limited to Kubernetes clusters, container image registries, and secure vaults.
• Maintain system uptime, and troubleshoot issues
• Design, implement and manage deploy pipelines to deploy container images to Kubernetes clusters
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and self-starter
• Monitor and manage platform KPIs
• Research and evolve platforms as technologies change and new features are added
• Design, implement and manage build pipelines for different programming languages
• Good documentation skills
• Help and coach project teams to use platforms and pipelines

What does it take for this role to be yours?

• Experience writing runbooks and playbooks
• Adaptive to change and ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts to business priorities
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Analytic and problem-solving capabilities that go beyond strict technical expertise
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools e.g. Jira
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Able to take on 24/7 pager support for Critical and High Production issues
• Experience with Docker containers
• Experience with Git and Git workflows
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-disciplinary team, across multiple projects and multiple locations.
• Interpersonal skills, and ability to flourish working in a fast-paced environment

Additional Skills That Set You Apart

• Experience with Ansible, ARM, Terraform, and other Infrastructure As Code languages
• Ability to understand broad application and infrastructure architecture concepts and apply patterns to those that enable automation and development agility
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructures and infrastructure as code
• Working experience Red Hat OpenShift
• Development knowledge of Go, Python, Linux Bash Scripting, Helm Charts, YAML
• Experience with Jenkins and Groovy language
• Experience in software development is an asset
• Experience with testing automation is an asset
• Good understanding of networking concepts
• Working experience Azure AKS, AWS ROSA
• Extensive experience working with open-source frameworks and leveraging capabilities scaled by the community at large
• Experience with Kubernetes config maps, Kustomize and HELM

Education And Certification

• Academic : undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, collegiate diploma in computer science or equivalent experience (required)
