Our client is seeking an experienced MS Azure Data Center Manager to join their team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our operations and ensuring comprehensive data center management. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in MS Azure data center products and services, proficiency in meeting security requirements, and the ability to support the deployment of production code. Reporting to senior management, you will collaborate closely with our Corporate IT Director, Security team, and Development teams.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure customer data safety and protection.
  • Undertake maintenance, installation, and updates of all infrastructure.
  • Assist the Chief Security & Privacy Officer with various assignments related to data center operations and management, including defining security requirements.
  • Oversee and manage third-party vendors providing outsourced services in the data center.
  • Prepare contingency plans for potential disruptions or emergencies and establish recovery measures if necessary.
  • Monitor and plan for capacity changes.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Perform essential data center infrastructure maintenance and data management tasks to ensure 24x7x365 application availability for our clients.
  • Evaluate and recommend cost management strategies for both our Canadian and US-based MS Azure data centers.
  • Facilitate data backups and support security and external audits as required.
  • Provide the LifeSpeak development teams with the necessary data center infrastructure to support product and service development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing data center operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate IT and Security teams to provide high-quality support to our development teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical or data center-specific issues.
  • Manage secure storage and distribution of data in consultation with the database administrator, security team, and development teams.


Requirements

  • Terraform Scripting is a MUST
  • Professional certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 and file organization using SharePoint.
  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in information technology.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of MS Azure data center experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
