Overview of the Role :


This role reports to the IT Vice-President, Infrastructure and Services (I&S) and has responsibility for leading a strategic program that will drive convergence between IT and OT with the objective of mitigating cyber risk and improving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, complex and global context working easily with a diverse set of stakeholders at various levels of the organization. The candidate will have a passion for technology and delivery excellence to achieve business outcomes, driving value for the organization.


We are seeking a pragmatic leader shape, mobilize and execute a multi-year global program that will drive standardization of infrastructure to a reference architecture, and deploy services to our sites that will increase resiliency and mitigate risk. The Director will collaborate with IT infrastructure function, the cybersecurity team, corporate engineering and our OT and engineering teams in each region. The Program Director will work closely with our Global PMO leveraging our project methodology, tools and governance. The candidate will be able to lead diverse internal teams through influence, and well manage external vendor relationships/contracts to form a cohesive high performing team.


Our ideal candidate will have a diversity of experience in multiple IT and OT roles, with an understanding of both IT and OT-ICS technologies. The candidate will balance strategic imperatives with pragmatic realities, shaping and executing a program that balances priority, risk, and investment. When needed, this leader should be able to roll-up their sleeves and manage a project, but be equally at ease overseeing and leading a group of project managers. This includes managing the program consisting of multiple projects across several global locations as part of the multi-year initiative.


Teams will be based both centrally and in regional locations delivering the projects at our plants in accordance with the program schedule. Travel to these sites will be required, and the candidate should bring a passion for interacting with our teams in each location.


How you will make contributions that matter :


  • Budget, financial and contract management according to IT PMO, Corporate and Divisional standards
  • Ensure that the program delivers measurable improvements in cyber risk mitigation and infrastructure service maturity across all sites.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key vendors and partners to ensure successful delivery of the program.
  • Ensure that the program complies with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Align and report to senior stakeholders on progress and impact of the program
  • Create a repeatable method / template that can be applied globally to achieve program objectives
  • Steer and execute the programs with involvement of representatives from operations, IT/OT architects, vendors / providers
  • Develop and implement program and project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure the successful delivery of the program.
  • Report progress and status updates to senior management and stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Manage a team of project managers and technical staff to ensure that they are effectively delivering their responsibilities and that the program is meeting its objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure that the program aligns with the overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Shape, lead and manage the IT / OT cybersecurity convergence program to ensure the program objectives are met


You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications :


  • 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale IT programs and projects in a global environment (budgets of $10+ million annually)
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project management, ITIL, and/or change management certifications are preferred
  • Ability to travel globally up to 50% of the time.
  • Blend of experience managing IT infrastructure, OT, and cyber security. Sufficient understanding of technologies (typical assets, communication protocols, technical architectures) utilized by OT-ICS systems (SCADA/DCS/PLC/RTU) and networks and knowledge (or at least interest to learn) the security concepts typical to the ICS/OT environments especially network architecture, segmentation, defense in depth
  • Able to work with teams across multiple time zones and cultures
