Job Summary
Providing customer service with circulation, material handling routines, reference and reader’s advisory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs materials handling routines such as emptying the drop box, packing and unpacking boxes, sorting onto trucks, retrieving materials, AV problems, periodicals, processing, labels, repairs and linking.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provides direction to volunteers as required.
- Performs routines related to holds.
- SUNDAY WORK MAY BE REQUIRED
- Assists with and may conduct programs.
- Provides circulation services, including cash handling.
- Provides reference and readers' advisory.

Skills And Qualifications
- Demonstrated keyboarding ability.
- Secondary school graduation.
- Some lifting is involved.
- Familiarity with Enterprise and Workflows, Internet, Windows, and Microsoft Office would be an asset.
- Effective written and oral skills in English are essential.
- Effective interpersonal skills are essential in dealing with the staff and public.
- Some library experience and post-secondary education would be an asset.
