Job Description

The Head of Talent Acquisition, Canada will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, and collaborating closely with hiring managers to meet our staffing needs (front-line and professional workers).



Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various channels, including job boards, social media, industry events, and networking, to identify and attract top talent.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding (internal and external process).
  • Talent Pipelining: Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline to ensure a consistent pool of candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process and actively seek out diverse candidates.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with hiring managers and HR Business leaders to understand their staffing requirements and provide guidance on talent acquisition best practices.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
  • Employer Branding: Enhance our employer brand through effective recruitment marketing initiatives, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, as well as our policies.
  • Market Insights: Understand external market supply & demand, generate talent data and strengthen insights to support talent decisions.
  • Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to address our company's growth objectives.



Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, industry trends, and market conditions in Canada.
  • Business acumen.
  • Strong communication interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Lead in large multinational organizations. Previous experience in recruitment agencies is desirable.
