Salary
Classification 5, $21.80 per hour, as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees also receive an additional $0.50/hr. in lieu of benefits, as well as having 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay.
Description
The Facilities Department at Northern Lights College is looking to hire one summer student for a term of employment for the summer of 2023. Schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm.
The primary focus of this position will be to assist with the maintenance of the building and grounds that will include some janitorial duties and minor repairs. The Facilities Assistant will perform general grounds work and carpentry duties that may include the operation of small equipment.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:

• Must be a student, currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the fall intake;
• Must be comfortable to operate a small tractor and attachments; and
• Hold a minimum of a valid Class 7 Drivers' License.
• Must be able to operate power tools, with minimal instruction;
