Classification 6, $29,083.08 - $29,982.55 annually, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Annual vacation (76.5 hours) is pro-rated and front loaded. We offer competitive extended health and dental benefits (staff are eligible after the completion of 6 months of employment). The Support Collective Agreement includes time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 - Jan 1st) of each year is paid time off.
Description
The purpose of the Campus Welcome & Reception position is to provide quality service to students, staff, and visitors through the delivery of receptionist duties and general administrative support for the campus. They are responsible for managing the main reception desk of the campus, providing mailroom services, and managing the room bookings for internal and external users.
Qualifications
Additional hours will be required during peak times.
The minimum requirement of this position is high school graduation with a certificate in office administration plus one year of relevant work experience, however an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office is required (Outlook, Word, Excel). Must have the ability to manage a multi-line telephone switchboard, work independently with minimal supervision and work collaboratively with colleagues. Familiarity with student records registration system would be an asset. A current, valid driver's license is required in this role.
The successful candidate must complete a comprehensive clerical test.
