We are looking for an Executive Director, People & Engagement for our client who is one of the leading Educational Publishers in the country.

Responsibilities
In this hybrid Executive Director, People & Engagement role, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to help shape organizational structure, compensation strategy, company culture, and long-term plans.
  • Follow the industry's latest trends using HR data and metrics analysis, and keep up with employment laws and regulations to ensure continuous improvement and provide recommendations for best practices.
  • Lead change management efforts to help employees navigate and adapt to organizational changes as well as manage talent acquisition initiatives (recruitment and selection, onboarding, etc.).
  • Collaborate with various teams to improve HR strategies and align them with business goals.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training and development programs as well as oversee performance management initiatives to promote employees’ career development and cultivate high-performance culture.
  • Create and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications
For this hybrid Executive Director, People & Engagement role, you will need the following qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster great relationships.
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR leader role or similar, and demonstrated experience with Change Management.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to use analytical and problem-solving skills to design and implement various HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related. Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation is an asset.
