Reporting the Director, People & Culture (P&C), and collaborating with the P&C team, the Senior People & Culture Consultant provides generalist services to business managers and employees. You will be joining a high-performing team of P&C peers globally to deliver on P&C initiatives that support the execution and implementation of business and enterprise people strategies. The Senior P&C Consultant role is your chance to experience a variety in your work, build breadth across P&C disciplines, and make an impact on the organization. Responsibilities:
  • Support managers and employees with Leave of Absence such as STD and FMLA
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Primary point-of-contact for assigned lines of business concerning P&C matters
  • Collaborate with the P&C Centers of Excellence (COE) and other key partners to create integrated solutions, as needed.
  • Supports key P&C initiatives and annual programs for the designated client group, including employee engagement, talent reviews, leadership & employee development, performance management and compensation cycle, change management, people analytics etc.
  • Contributes to a professional, positive, results-oriented team environment.
  • Supports project management of P&C initiatives and ad-hoc requests related to the business
  • Makes recommendations for improvements to human resource programs and processes
  • Assists and coaches managers regarding performance management
  • Communicates with management and employees regarding policy management, P&C processes & programs, ensuring compliance with legislation and corporate policies
  • Leverages the tools and processes developed by Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Talent Management to deliver P&C programs into client group, support workforce management and engagement, hiring, and development.
Requirements Skill/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of employment laws across North America
  • Effective time management in managing multiple assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A good understanding of software systems and applications, such as HRIS, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; prefer experience with Workday
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative team member with the ability to take initiative
Education and Experience:
  • Proven track record in building strong relationships with business, with the ability to provide robust recommendations, coach, influence and drive change in pursuit of best practice;
  • Bilingualism in English/French is an asset
  • Proven ability to draw on data and analytics to provide insights, challenge the status quo, ask the questions that matter, and bring fresh thinking to the table;
  • Bring an inclusion and diversity lens to everything you do;
  • Strong process orientation, with deep understanding of performance management and compensation philosophies;
  • Commitment to the growth, development and advancement of our people, and ability to quickly acquire knowledge of tools and resources available across the organization to support this;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources /business experience, with a focus on generalist/advisory support and people analytics;
