About Our Client


Our client Ascend Partners a trusted OneStream Diamond Global Implementation Partner is excited for their next phase of growth and is looking for a dynamic People and Culture Manager to be the primary partner and advisor to the business. The successful candidate will work closely in the implementation of processes, policies and programs that drive organizational effectiveness.


As the People and Culture Manager, you will lead the people practices that attract and retain high performance talent to Ascend Partners for the next stage of our evolution. You should excel in building strong partnerships with leadership across the organization, working with energy & enthusiasm to implement an HR Vision that clearly supports our growth objectives.


What you will do:


  • Stays connected and informed on workplace trends and HR best practices and responds accordingly with recommendations to the Managing Partners and the Senior Leadership team
  • Demonstrates leadership capabilities, providing coaching, guidance, and direction to the Ascend Leadership team.
  • Develops a strong working relationship across the organization and be viewed internally as a credible and knowledgeable resource amongst staff.
  • Responds to employee inquires in a timely manner and provides proactive solutions to day-to-day challenges.
  • Build people manager capability through scalable development programs that facilitate an open, inclusive environment
  • Oversees the full HR technology stack, makes use of all available features/functionalities to maximize the technology investment, and proactively makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Promotes company values and culture, working collaboratively with all departments to reinforce a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Leads the development and implementation of performance management processes, providing support to managers
  • Collaborates with leadership and management to discuss issues, needs, and requirements related to workforce planning and recruitment, including the development of team members through coaching, training, and career pathing
  • Develops a deep understanding of the business, its profit drivers, strategic objectives, and priorities and recommend an HR strategy to support these objectives
  • Utilizes data-driven insights to measure HR effectiveness, track key performance indicators, and provide valuable reports to the management team
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns, managing conflicts, and implementing initiatives that boost employee morale and engagement
  • Oversees the full recruitment function for all positions across the organization including developing recruitment strategies (e.g., managing agency relationships, assisting hiring managers conducting interviews, etc.)
  • Support the execution of HR strategies, policies, procedures, and programs to sustain continued growth and retention
  • Plays an active role in the communication of specific HR related initiatives across the organization
  • Analyzes HR data for the purpose of identifying trends and preparing HR plans (i.e. performance management tracking, employee engagement & wellness, vacancy reports, HR scorecard, retention rates, etc.)


Requirements


What we require:


  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as an Human Resources Generalist/Manager; preferably in a tech or professional services start-up
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; HR designation is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge with O365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint) and Adobe Pro
  • Strong working knowledge with HR technologies/platforms (Bamboo, Gusto, Wagepoint, or others)
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • A strong and engaging collaborator with a focus on relationship building and maintaining a positive organizational culture
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal across the organization
  • Ability to pro-actively execute and manage multiple tasks
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of the design and application of HR best practices
