INTRODUCTION
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented and compassionate person to join our team in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal, Saskatoon, Victoria or Winnipeg! The Manager – People & Culture will perform a variety of department tasks to develop, maintain, and improve Know Company’s culture, team, and employer brand. Reporting to the VP – People & Brand, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization and constantly evolving culture.

Hybrid Work
Know Company uses a hybrid model, where you are able to work from home, the office, or a combination of both in cities where Know Company has offices. POSITION OVERVIEW: Manager – People & Culture
The Manager – People & Culture will perform a variety of department tasks to develop, maintain, and improve Know Company’s culture, team, and employer brand. Reporting to the VP–People & Brand and working closely with Know Company’s management teams, this individual will be required to maintain and further develop people operations in Know Company’s business units according to each unit’s values, visions, and goals. As a Manager, this position will supervise the People & Culture team, and provide on-going leadership throughout the Know Company business units.
Responsibilities
- Maintains performance management and improvement systems, guiding managers in performance management processes as necessary
- Administers employee pay, benefit programs, health and safety programs, as well as training needs with management
- Monitors and implements HR strategies, initiatives, policies, and procedures aligned with the overall business strategy, and leads the P&C department in implementation
- Contributes to annual budget planning with management
- Collects, reports on, and identifies goals from employee feedback
- Works closely with post-secondary institutions across Canada to generate employment interest and opportunities with students in relevant programs
- Works with management to nurture a positive working environment aligned with Know Company’s values and budgets, providing support to employees and management as needed
- Supervises a team of human resource professionals across multiple cities, including planning, monitoring, and appraising performance
- Aids in the research and development of compensation and benefit structures and programs
- Tracks and reports on diversity statistics in each business unit and department on an ongoing basis
- Manages the recruitment and selection process, onboarding, termination, and offboarding processes, with People & Culture team and other departments
- Leads the People & Culture team in utilizing HRIS and other tools to maintain employee records and work structure including job requirements, descriptions, and time-off tracking
- Aids in internal communication with employees and developing messaging for all-company platforms including Slack, KnowHub, and all-company meetings to align with company values
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HR practices including recruitment compensation, performance appraisal, employment law, training and development
- Degree, diploma, designation, in business or human resources an asset
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- 3+ years of experience in human resources
