Position Overview:
Currently, they are seeking a People & Culture Specialist to join their growing HR function. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, this individual will play a key role in deepening the organization’s HR offering. Focused on driving HR process management and structure, this role will also act as the first point of contact for employees’ questions and concerns regarding company policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of progressive HR experience gained in a best practice hands-on environment. Consulting or investment firm experience is an asset.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and innovative individual to work with an exceptional mentor on a building mandate with exposure to a broad range of HR activities.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative duties - creating, maintaining and drafting Word, Powerpoint and Excel documents, books meetings and events
- Manage the HR mailbox, responds to all general enquiries
- Manage HR reporting and support the development of new reporting & tracking methods with potential implementation of an HRIS
- Work with the VP to support the delivery of learning and development programs
- Support HR administrative processes: benefits administration, onboarding & offboarding, leave & vacation management, etc.
- Records management - employee record keeping and file maintenance
- Coordinate all onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, HR liaison for new employees and managers
- Participation in other HR projects and initiatives as requested
- Assist in the recruitment processes as required – offer letter creation, internal postings, etc.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years experience/exposure to human resources
- Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Exceptional working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent business writing skills (English) and effective verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, strong hands-on work ethic
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, or other relevant field
- Must be able to work effectively in a team and be self-motivated to meet results, deadlines and timelines
Please note that at present, legal eligibility to work in Canada is a prerequisite for this role.
