Director, Retail Logistics, Planning, & Analytics, TH Retail

We’re expanding the team and looking for a Director of Retail Logistics, Planning, & Analytics in our Toronto office.

We are looking for a highly analytical and pragmatic candidate, who enjoys leveraging his/her/their retail supply chain and/or planning expertise to design & scale a new offering across Canada.

This senior role reporting to the VP of Retail will be responsible for leading a team focused on the design and ongoing management of Retail inventory (both supply & demand). More specifically, this individual will initially be focused on setting up inventory buy and flow nation-wide solutions between Tim Hortons and potential third-party logistics to optimize performance and cost effectiveness across all Retail channels (in-store & online). In addition to establishing analytical rigor on planning, tracking, and allocation to ensure target operations KPIs are achieved to deliver forecasts.

As a part of the Retail Leadership Team, this role will also act as the advisor for planning & performance tracking to the VP of Retail, and work alongside category management, channel development, and visual merchandise & in-store execution. Direct accountability to the Retail P&L including revenue, channel margin, inventory turn, GMROI, and EBITDA. Responsible for the development and leadership of managers and analysts.

What You’ll Do

• Establish standardized reporting and analytics
• Oversee financial plans, short-term and long-term tracking, and oversee Open to Buy
• Lead the implementation of new tools, processes, and best practices to improve business performance
• Responsible for the inventory flow and exit strategy from end to end to achieve sales, margin, and turn targets
• Partner with category management, visual merchandise/in-store execution, and channel development to execute on the strategy, manage risks (supply & timeline risks, fill rates), and forecast demand (by channel & overall)
• Lead and develop team members in a positive and dynamic environment
• Develop & own the Retail supply chain strategy & execution between Tim Horton’s and potential third-party networks across channels (in-store & online) nation-wide

What You’ll Bring

• High level of analytical skill and judgment, combined with strategic problem solving
• 3+ years of leadership experience with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of vendor or partner management
• University or College Degree required, preferably in Commerce or Engineering
• 7+ years’ experience in the retail industry in supply chain and/or merchandise planning
• Passion for Retail
• Advanced knowledge of Excel. SAP or JDA knowledge is preferred
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills in ambiguous environment
• Fast learner with ability to establish relationships quickly and manage projects under pressure
