We are looking for a leader to share insights on financial planning in wealth management. And distill those insights to build innovative software that simplifies planning and helps consumers achieve their life goals. This is a unique opportunity at the intersection of financial planning and technology.

Our product team is growing thanks to our success in the market. We are happy to launch a brand-new product for Financial Planning / Financial Wellness that we acquired from our client.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams to craft and develop innovative software tools that deliver a fabulous and engaging advisor and client experience.
• Mentor advisors on how to use our tools efficiently to elevate their advisory practice and deliver top notch client experience.
• Collaborate with product owners in cross-functional teams to balance client needs, market needs, and user experience.
• Simplify regulations and difficult calculations into small logical requirements so that the engineering team can implement them in the software. Validate accuracy of calculations and ensure what we release to production lives up to our standards.
• Be an encouraging leader on upcoming regulatory changes (CRA, annual budget, new products, etc.). Understand impact of these to clients and advisors.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Solid understanding of Canadian and Quebec financial planning regulations (FP Canada, IQPF, IIROC, MFDA)
• Wealth management industry expertise and vision – 9+ years experience with delivering financial planning advice to mass-affluent and high net worth clients.
• Strong and critical thinking skills
• Deep experience and understanding of client’s financial needs in their life’s course from wealth accumulation to decumulation. And the role of different financial products and solutions throughout this journey for various client types from individuals and families to business owners and foundations.
• Experience in agile software development, SCRUM or SAFe and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)) is a bonus.
• Client-oriented and outcome-focused
• Excellent communication and people skills
