About the opportunity:


Manager, FP&A will be a key financial partner to the VP, Corporate Planning & Analysis. Manager will also play an important role supporting the commercial leadership team on financial planning, performance management and decision support.

This role requires a natural curiosity and desire to learn complemented by a deep understanding of the numbers and an ability to communicate clearly. The successful candidate will be versatile, highly motivated, with a positive attitude and a strong desire to contribute to the success of the team and the overall business.


Areas of key responsibilities:


Business Partnership & Decision Support:

  • Prepare commercial models and undertake cost-benefit analysis for new business opportunities.
  • Partner with commercial leaders to analyze financial and operational performance.
  • Establish and maintain close partnerships and collaborative relationships with finance and operations.

Management Reporting & Analysis:

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to enhance understanding of product and customer profitability.
  • Support the preparation of the company’s monthly Management Report including variance analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials for the Executive team, Board and other key stakeholders.

Financial Planning:

  • Prepare commercial models and undertake cost-benefit analysis for new business opportunities.
  • Partner with commercial leaders to analyze financial and operational performance.
  • Establish and maintain close partnerships and collaborative relationships with finance and operations.
  • Support long-range strategic planning including the development and maintenance of financial models.
  • Manage the budget and forecast calendar, coordinating the schedule with key stakeholders, including various business functional leads.
  • Play leadership role on the budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the commercial leadership team.


Background and Experience:

  • Previous SaaS experience an asset.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in FP&A or other relevant commercial finance roles.
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA or CMA required.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of financial management and accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to translate complex data to simple insights.
  • Strategic thinker and decision maker.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage through change.
