Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager, FP&A will have the opportunity to be part of a fast growing and dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for a wide range of finance related duties. This individual must come from a manufacturing environment and will work with various stakeholders (staff, managers, executive team, customers, government regulators, investors, etc). Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, integrity and skill-based competency will be evaluated during the interview process (if selected).

Position Overview


  • Review of journal entries and reconciliation of various general ledger accounts performed by the Finance team
  • Prepare inventory analyses and reports, including item profitability, inventory reconciliations and obsolescence reserves
  • Work collaboratively across the organization as a business partner and advisor
  • Analyze sales trends, pricing, product mix changes, marketing tactics, and other ad-hoc analyses
  • Work on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts
  • Understand and analyze major cost drivers in the business
  • Create and maintain financial models


Qualifications


  • Familiarity with full-cycle financial accounting and manufacturing processes, specifically inventory management
  • Finance, accounting and/or audit experience within the cannabis industry an asset
  • In-depth understanding of ASPE
  • Detail-oriented, high degree of accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Hands-on experience with various accounting software packages, Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as a team, with a passion for making continuous improvements
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and able to identify unusual entries, discrepancies or problems, and resolve independently
  • CPA with 3+ years of relevant experience


WORKING CONDITIONS (REMOTE):


This is a REMOTE role but requires you to be eligible to work for any employer in Canada and must possess the necessary work eligibility documents. You must have an open work permit, be a permanent resident of Canada or be a Canadian citizen.
