Position Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this individual should have the potential to assume a leadership role with increased responsibility over the short term. This role requires lead accountability for financial analysis and reporting consistent with Sanofi Accounting Principles (SAGA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
This person will help to identify and implement new ways of working. There will be many opportunities to demonstrate your analytical and interpersonal abilities, by challenging the status quo, improving processes, and collaborating with your Finance and Business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Magnitude Schedules are compliant and well documented/supported from an audit perspective.
  • Designs new ways of working with various stakeholders in the preparation of cash flow budget and forecast.
  • Key Finance representative in Litigation review meetings.
  • Coordinates Pharma Fixed Assets count providing collaboration and support to all areas in scope to ensure compliance.
  • Ensures sound finance treatment of Restructuring line.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of financial results for Tax Directors and Pharmacovigilance team.
  • Drives change and efficiency through proactively challenging the status quos.
  • Drives efficiencies and process improvements by working with Toronto Mailroom team on cheques in and out process.
  • Other projects and activities as required.
  • Represents Canada in key NA1F initiatives.
  • Supports Vaccines Intercompany billing (Royalties, TP adjustments, and Central Costs) by analyzing how all parts link together and providing meaningful information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Designs ways of working with Finance Business Partners to provide high quality budget/forecast/actual reports.
  • Supports Canada as a whole (Vaccines and Pharma), ensuring simplification, standardization of reporting processes, and strong Internal Control.
  • Leads Vaccines Financial Reporting including Legal P&L, Legal Sales, Product P&L, SG&A actual and budget, by developing and maintaining effective cross-functional working relationship and partnership with Vaccines FBP.
  • Creates efficient working relationships between Intercompany Financial Solutions & Analytics (IFS&A) and NA SBS team to streamline the process for Transfer Price changes.
  • Develops new price validation process by working with Trade - Hospital Contracts Management team.

  • Minimum five (5) years of previous experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • Strong in SAP, TM1 reporting and advanced Excel skills.
  • Must demonstrate all Play to Win Behaviors.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS reporting rules.
