Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Finance or Commerce Degree, MBA, and a Financial or Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CBV, CFA)

Post-secondary education in Business Administration

Working knowledge of public company/reporting issuer requirements and related regulatory environments.

3-5 years leadership experience in a financial reporting environment.

Experience preparing financial statements, MD&A and other external disclosures.

Experience developing or coordinating annual financial plans.

Strong technical working knowledge of IFRS.

Be responsible for all program financials, including management and review of cost, funding, labor charging, and all forecasting and internal reporting

Collaborate with Program Managers to identify and quantify potential Opportunities or Vulnerabilities not in the forecast

Support the monthly business functions of both the program and finance departments

Develop financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements

Monitor progress of program requirements as well as cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met

Completed of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field

Develops new price validation process by working with Trade - Hospital Contracts Management team.

Designs ways of working with Finance Business Partners to provide high quality budget/forecast/actual reports.

Key Finance representative in Litigation review meetings.

Ensures sound finance treatment of Restructuring line.

Solid knowledge of IFRS reporting rules.

Strong in SAP, TM1 reporting and advanced Excel skills.

Review the monthly/ quarterly / yearly consolidation process for financial and management reporting by:

Meet the internal and external deadlines by demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize.

Maintaining a monthly checklist and coordinating the accumulation of documents from divisional accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting;

Review supporting schedules and any other deliverables;

Review the financial statements, including note disclosures, prepared for both partners and bank;

Coordinate the audit with external auditors;

Ownership, administration and configuration of the Workforce Management and Knowledge base software

Support the Customer Operations department with operational activities such as, assisting Leadership team, special projects, workforce management, scheduling, etc.

Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to business stakeholders and the Senior Management Team (SMT)

Manage and optimize processes for data analysis and reporting

Minimum 3 to 5 years leadership experience

Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus

Experience using a NIQ and/or Numerator data – Strong technical skills and ability to manipulate and analyze data

University Degree (essential requirement), preferably in Business or Commerce

4 years of FMCG or other relevant sales/marketing experience

Proficient skills in JDA Space Planning preferred but not required

Prior experience in qualitative research and higher-level quantitative analyses is an asset

Supports Kroll Digital’s migration to Microsoft Dynamics ERP and ensures alignment with KDS business requirements, becoming go-to Dynamics resource within KDS

Identifies and recommends process improvements within the finance department and across all operating units through special projects and initiatives.

2-4 years proven work experience as a Financial Analyst.

· Prepare and manage quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A;

· 3+ years of public company experience in the mining sector required;

· Minimum of 10 years experience post CPA designation.

· Prepare the group consolidation, and supporting working papers;

· Prepare accounting memos for new and/or complex transactions;

· Support the preparation of the consolidated tax provision;

5+ years of progressive experience in finance and audit

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced Excel Skills

Manage cost ledgers for any misclassification of costs and record required cost accruals (invoices, interest, cost to complete, etc.)

Experience researching, and writing technical accounting memos

Experience working in a big 4 or big 10 Canadian accounting firm is strongly preferred

Knowledge of IFRS is required, US GAAP knowledge is an asset

Providing both technical and project management leadership skills to team members for Accounting projects and engagements

Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required

Excellent skills in Accounting Software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Caseware)

Supervising (and completing when necessary) the preparation of working paper files, financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns]

Assisting in the direction and training of staff, reviewing completed files to ensure quality of work

Prioritizing projects, establish budgets and assigning staff to meet client deadlines

Perform period-end financial close responsibilities, including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L review

Strong financial knowledge and background in systems, data reporting and analytics required

5+ years of progressive Financial reporting experience with at least 2+ years managing a team of 2 or more people

Experience with D365 (ERP system) is an asset

Generate Legal Entity P&L for internal management reporting.

Manage tie-ins of underwriting related balance sheet and P&L measures.

Proven level of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience. Insurance accounting experience preferred.

Excellent PC spreadsheet skills (Excel)

Strong communication skills (both written & oral) and interpersonal skills to effectively work with different departments.
