Financial Reporting Manager

Our client, a South American producer of silver and zinc is hiring for a Financial Reporting Manager to oversee the financial reporting process and consolidated financial statements. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams in Canada and South America to prepare and analyze reports to inform management decision making. This client is just establishing their Canadian Headquarters and offers many opportunities for growth. Bilingual language proficiency (English and Spanish) would be a strong asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare and manage quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A;

· Manage the financial reporting process including providing support and guidance to mine site accounting staff in Bolivia and Mexico to independently resolve issues and review reporting packages provided by the sites;

· Prepare the group consolidation, and supporting working papers;

· Prepare accounting memos for new and/or complex transactions;

· Support the preparation of the consolidated tax provision;

· Support the preparation of annual Canadian tax returns;

· Coordinate with the Company’s external auditors, tax advisors, and various other service providers;

· Ad hoc duties and tasks as assigned by the Corporate Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) designation required;

· 3+ years of public company experience in the mining sector required;

· Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred;

· Minimum of 10 years experience post CPA designation.
