Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our clients team as the Snr Manager or a Director of Corporate Reporting. As a leader, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation of all consolidated and legal entity financial reporting and analysis, while overseeing the accounting activities for the corporate departments. Responsibilities:

Financial Performance Mastery:

• Make a lasting impact by actively participating in the preparation of regulatory filings, such as the Management Information Circular and Sustainability Report.
• Thrive on new challenges as you lead, guide, and support finance and cross-functional projects at both the corporate and operational levels.
• Demonstrate your meticulousness as you prepare legal entity financial statements, providing essential financial information to support tax provisions, tax returns, and regulatory filings.
• Leverage your strategic mindset to lead the annual business planning process for corporate departmental budgets.
• Take charge of accounting and financial reporting for our esteemed corporate departments, overseeing property, capital asset, and lease accounting processes.
• Embrace your role as the go-to expert for technical accounting matters, providing valuable insights through well-documented technical research.
• Show your proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 financial reporting system, taking ownership of the finance function, including financial report creation and maintenance.
• Show off your expertise by preparing monthly consolidated financial reporting and analysis, empowering management with critical insights for effective decision-making.
• Coordinate and navigate external financial statement reviews and audits with our trusted external auditors.
• Ensure the integrity and timeliness of our consolidated financial statements and disclosures by maintaining robust accounting policies, processes, and controls.
• Take the lead in preparing quarterly consolidated financial statements and note disclosure, ensuring accurate and transparent external disclosures.
• Showcase your financial prowess as you create compelling reports, including Management's Discussion & Analysis, Results News Releases, Quarterly and Annual Reports, and more.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Leverage your minimum of 7 years of combined experience in financial reporting, gained in a medium to large multi-jurisdictional public company, coupled with audit experience in a prestigious Big 4 firm.
• Unlock your potential with an accounting designation, whether it's CA or CPA, to showcase your comprehensive expertise.
• Bonus points if you have experience in the dynamic natural resources industry.
