Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline complemented by a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting/budgeting/auditing experience in a municipal setting.

Minimum 2 years demonstrated supervisory experience in an accounting environment.

Proven skills working with computerized financial systems software.

Responsibility for supporting the month-end close process, including but not limited to, the ME entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L adjustments.

Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Financial Reporting, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting or equivalent functions

Strong regulatory & financial reporting knowledge prevalent in banking/financial institutions

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS including recent pronouncements

Master's degree in accounting or finance
