Financial Reporting Consultant
MINIMUM HOURLY RATE

THE ROLE
Senior Financial Consultant– This engagement will work in collaboration with a team but also be expected to quickly adapt to changing needs and operate with a high level of independence. The goal will be to help accomplish many of the enterprise-wide improvement objectives.

THE TASKS
Financial Reporting
May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:
• Preparation of periodic financial reports including quarterly and annual statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring financial reports comply with domestic and international accounting standards, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Analyzing and interpreting financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities, and presenting these findings to senior management.
• Coordinating with the internal audit team or external auditors to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
• Assisting with the implementation of new reporting standards or regulatory changes affecting financial reports.
• Collaborating with other departments (such as operations, marketing, and sales) to gather the necessary data for financial reporting.

THE EXPECTATIONS TIMELINE PREVIEW
Deliverables for Engagement
- Leverage advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems.
- Prepare and coordinate variance analysis of historical data including the comparison between reporting periods, fiscal year ends, and multiple legacy systems.
- Participate in cross-training activities as part of a rotation program to ensure a thorough understanding of all accounting processes.
- Responsibility for supporting the month-end close process, including but not limited to, the ME entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L adjustments.
- Provide support for audit period inquiries including the preparation of any supporting documents for any gaps.
- Research, recommend, and implement changes to the reporting process, accounting policy, financial models, chart of accounts, and cost center GL creation.
- Uphold and document internal controls.
THE SKILL SET
- Advanced Excel is required.
- Exposure to IFRS standards.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
