Your Opportunity
Our Mitchell office is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Insights & Reporting Group and own the following responsibilities:

• Lead review and compilation engagements, in addition to corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprises
• Completion of trust returns and trust working papers
• Ensuring that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, as well as keeping them informed of the progress of the engagement
• Building effective working relationships with client contacts and responding effectively to client requests
• Coordination of tax assignments including preparation of tax returns (T2s, T4s, T5s, GST/HST), and coordination with the tax department to ensure queries are cleared and deadlines are met
• Following-up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, HST, business numbers

Your Experience And Education

• You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
• You have 3+ years of accounting experience in the public accounting industry
• You have a degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or relevant field
• You have experience with bookkeeping, compilations, review engagements, and preparing tax returns
• You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
