Knowledge of IFRS is required, US GAAP knowledge is an asset

Providing both technical and project management leadership skills to team members for Accounting projects and engagements

Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required

Excellent skills in Accounting Software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Caseware)

Supervising (and completing when necessary) the preparation of working paper files, financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns]

Assisting in the direction and training of staff, reviewing completed files to ensure quality of work

Prioritizing projects, establish budgets and assigning staff to meet client deadlines

Oversee special projects related to Finance and Treasury Management (e.g. weekly cash flows).

Experience in not-for-profit accounting and grants management preferred.

Review and analyze monthly management financial statements for the purpose of identifying operational trends.

Management over the Chart of Accounts and Financial posting setup in the ERP (D365)

Communicate to key stakeholders and partner with different pillars to provide financial information as requested pertaining to accounts and vendor management

Perform period-end financial close responsibilities, including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L review

Strong financial knowledge and background in systems, data reporting and analytics required

5+ years of progressive Financial reporting experience with at least 2+ years managing a team of 2 or more people

Experience with D365 (ERP system) is an asset

Strong Project Management skills and delivery

Good knowledge and demonstrated application of quality and risk management principles and tools

Breadth of knowledge and experience applying cGMPs and other regulations/guidance with an ability to interpret those in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated sound decision-making process; based on facts & data, and application of Risk Management principles

Ensure regulatory compliance is managed through flow of regulatory information to and from the releasing Sites as governed by Quality Agreements.

Degree in a Science or related discipline with minimum 5 years’ experience in various Technical and Operational Quality roles

Generate Legal Entity P&L for internal management reporting.

Manage tie-ins of underwriting related balance sheet and P&L measures.

Proven level of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience. Insurance accounting experience preferred.

Excellent PC spreadsheet skills (Excel)

Strong communication skills (both written & oral) and interpersonal skills to effectively work with different departments.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.

Experienced in documenting accounting processes and internal controls in a dynamic setting

Conduct comparative analysis and narrative commentary on financial performance, highlighting notable variances across different time periods, budgets, and departments.

Identify significant trends in financial performance within specific reporting entities and segments.

Prepare internal reports on a daily basis, outlining key financial metrics for reporting entities and segments.

2+ years' experience with Financial Systems management and implementation

Creation and maintenance of reporting through the Company’s Management Reporter system.

5+ years' experience in Accounting & Finance

Communicate project status to stakeholders, including finance leadership team, and ensure project risks are mitigated.

Key member of project teams tasked with implementing new initiatives and improving existing processes around the Corporate Finance financial systems.

Manage project budgets and timelines and ensure project goals are met within established parameters.

Experience with GAAP is a must; IFRS is a plus
