Senior Manager, Reporting And Consolidation

We are currently seeking an experienced senior-level professional for the Senior Manager of Reporting and Consolidation role to support the finance team by providing timely and accurate group financial reporting per IFRS, including evaluation of complex accounting issues. The candidate for this position will be a highly organized self-starter with great attention to detail. This role will report directly to Corporate Controller.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

• Consolidating quarterly reporting from IKO subsidiaries in accordance with IFRS and ASPE,
• Supporting teams in the completion of local external reporting and compliance requirements,
• Owning all aspects of the group financial reporting including analysis and preparation of quarterly and yearly financial reports,
• Initiating and developing new MD&A reporting;
• Developing a strong working relationship with external auditors, playing an integral role in the completion of the annual audit,
• Monitoring developments in accounting standards to assess potential impacts on the business and lead the implementation of new accounting standards,
• Determining appropriate accounting for transactions and advising senior management on a variety of technical accounting issues including the preparation of accounting memos and policies to support business initiatives,
• Assisting in the implementation of the new reporting and consolidation tool and ownership and administration over the system;
• Responsible for the preparation of quarterly reporting and presentations to the Operating committee and board of directors,
• Working with our North American Shared Services teams on improving and strengthening the financial close process,

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• CPA Designation or other comparable designation
• Demonstrated proficiency multi-currency consolidations.
• Ability to deal with individuals throughout the organization and drive process improvements
• Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 8 – 10 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting (some accounting firm experience preferred)
• Technically strong with IFRS
• Experience preparing external financial statements.
