The Associate Vice President of Real Estate Investments is responsible for overseeing the company's real estate investment and development initiatives. The AVP, Real Estate Investments will work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement real estate investment strategies that align with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Providing regular reports to senior management on the performance of the real estate portfolio, including key financial metrics and market trends.
- Overseeing the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, market research, and property inspections.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing real estate investment and development.
- Managing and mentoring a team of real estate finance professionals
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive real estate investment strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, brokers, and developers.
- Negotiating and structuring complex real estate transactions, including joint ventures, partnerships, etc.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the real estate industry.
- Identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities
Key Qualifications:
- Strong leadership traits, excellent communication skills and negotiation abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as finance and/or real estate
- Deep understanding of the real estate industry, including market trends, project valuation and investment strategies
- CFA, MBA or Master’s degree in real estate
- 10 years experience in real estate investment and development

Location & Travel:
The position will be based out of the Toronto office.
