About Our Client
Our client is an institutional real estate developer focused on mixed use masterplan development in the GTA. They are actively growing their pipeline of exciting TOD development projects spanning residential, commercial and mixed-use assets.
Senior Development Analyst
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join their development underwriting team, reporting to management. The Analyst will support the team in developing and implementing the organization’s investment strategy for their development projects with a focus on financial analysis. In addition, this role will work collaboratively with the rest of the
team to support the overall development, to assist in implementing investment strategies and other strategic projects and initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player, with a passion for real estate development and city building, and a desire to help build a growing company. In addition, they will be able to work in a dynamic environment and work directly to executive team. The compensation range is $75,000 – $105,000 depending on level of industry experience and exposure, plus a discretionary bonus. Our client is an advocate for diversity and recognizes the importance of leadership engagement within its framework.
Responsibilities
- Support leasing proforma analysis for development considerations and interim activation strategies.
- Participate in the annual Business Planning process
- Conduct data gathering and research, as required.
- Support joint initiatives and interdisciplinary projects that cross the various internal departments
- Conduct financial, scenario, and sensitivity analysis to inform decision making and evaluate investment options (land acquisitions, financing, partnership structuring, etc.).
- Maintain development proformas for single and multi-phase mixed-use development projects.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations to support the Project and associated investment considerations, including supporting with Investment Committee documentation.
- Assist with the annual appraisal process
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly and year end reporting to investors
Qualifications
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in high pressure environment and able to manage the dynamic of multiple priorities simultaneously
- Superior oral and written communication skills with a strong team orientation and collaborative approach
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, using sound judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Post-secondary degree in relevant studies, Certification in Real Estate and Development is considered an asset
- 1-4 years in relevant work experience in real estate, with exposure to investments or development
- Bright and analytical, able to solve problems and make decisions using logical processes with accountability
- High proficiency in Excel with experience building / maintaining complex development proformas
