Avante Developments, a leading real estate developer based in Toronto, is seeking a talented and driven Real Estate Development Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Real Estate Development Associate, you will play a vital role in the planning, execution, and management of our diverse portfolio of real estate projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial models, pro forma analysis, and investment packages.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact real estate development projects.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and feasibility studies to assess the viability of potential projects.
- Assist in negotiating and securing financing arrangements, joint venture partnerships, and other strategic collaborations.
- Contribute to the preparation of business plans, investment memos, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and analyze potential real estate investment opportunities.
- Participate in due diligence activities, including conducting property inspections, reviewing legal documentation, and coordinating with external consultants.
- Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring project progress.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in real estate development, investment, or a related field.
- Proficient in financial modelling and using real estate industry software and tools.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of real estate development processes, including market research, feasibility analysis, due diligence, and project management.
- Knowledge of local zoning regulations, building codes, and permitting processes in the Toronto area is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct financial analysis and evaluate investment opportunities.
