Position Summary:
The Canadian Associate Manager role is an important part of Consumer Replacement Tire Marketing team. The Associate Manager is accountable for executing customer and channel-specific marketing initiatives that engage consumers while driving them to conversion, and drive recommendations for our brands with dealer sales representatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for retail communication campaigns for the Canadian market. This position will collaborate closely with our Sales teams as well as Marketing Operations team to execute programs that align with both the customer & company objectives to drive profitable sell-in/out volume growth through our retailer channels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete full analysis of programs including profitability analysis, expected return based on sales and consumer data, sell-in, and post-program evaluation.
- Manage BridgestoneMarketing.com as well as plan and activate marketing campaigns and materials such as EZ Ads, Digital Ads, Website Banner Ads, Sales emails, as well as French translations.
- Execute retail marketing plans to drive sales of Bridgestone and Firestone consumer replacement tires National Promotion calendar as well as independent & national accounts programs such as Costco.
- Manage creation & adaption of in-store materials including point-of-purchase communication, temporary displays, promotional materials, and other resources to enhance in-store experience and overall consumer purchase journey.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships to deliver programs and creative assets of retail through strong project management, budgeting, creative briefs from ideation through execution.
- Monitor and benchmark competitive activities and strategies.
- Maintain excellent relationships with key retail customer stakeholders to establish Bridgestone as partner of choice and leader in tire retail marketing.
- Manage agency scopes of work, and key deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Strong communicator, both oral and written.
- Must be willing and able to travel occasionally.
- University degree from an accredited institution (Marketing or Business).
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Disciplined approach to marketing and business, with the ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operation levels.
- Manages through ambiguity, uses active listening skills and demonstrates an innovative approach to solving problems.
- Strong history of agility, flexibility, and strength in change management.
- Demonstrates bias for action in all areas of work; show commitment to accountability and ownership of work.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in Marketing, Advertising or Brand Management.

- In the first 90 days: You will transition to complete ownership of our promotion and retail programs to drive sell out for the Canadian Consumer business including leading cross-functional teams and agencies partners to deliver on marketing plans.
