Woodbine Entertainment (WE) is on a journey to become a customer-centric Marketing powerhouse. We are building a team of Brand champions, who will aspire to ‘wow every guest’. The WE Marketing Team is accountable to develop and deliver innovative and effective marketing solutions to meet the Organization’s strategic imperatives and launch a new breed of experience at Woodbine. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Research and Analytics Manager. In this role, you will work closely with external agencies responsible for conducting customer research and will be responsible for leveraging data analytics to generate actionable insights and optimize marketing strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and contribute to the overall success of our marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a data-driven strategist with a deep understanding of marketing principles and a strong proficiency in analytics.
Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, Wagering, the Manager Consumer Insights and Analytics, will play a key role in driving growth of Woodbine wagering through overseeing the delivery of customer insight and behavior research and effectively evaluating and measuring the impact and performance (ROI) of campaigns, promotions, initiatives, and marketing programs. Additionally, this role will seek to understand macro and micro industry trends that impact the horseracing landscape across North America and in international markets
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced data analysis:
Collaborate With External Agencies

Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced data analysis:
- Utilize data analytics techniques to analyze customer data and extract meaningful insights.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance promotion strategies and maximize ROI.
- Analyze promotional campaigns to assess their impact on customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue
- Calculate and assess ROI to optimize marketing investments and resource allocation.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance, including customer acquisition, conversion rates, and revenue attribution.
- Measure campaign performance and ROI:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking mechanisms to measure marketing campaign effectiveness.
- Employ statistical modeling, data mining, and predictive analytics to uncover patterns and trends.
- Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for marketing strategies.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in the horseracing industry
Collaborate With External Agencies
- Lead the rollout and dissemination of ley learnings and insight to the marketing team and cross functional partners
- Industry insights and knowledge with the marketing team to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the relationship with agencies and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with external agencies to leverage customer research insights and analyze customer data to segment customers based on demographics, psychographics, and behavior
- Provide guidance and insights to agencies during the customer research process.
- Work closely with external research agencies to define research objectives and methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
- Deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau, Python).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, and generating customer insights.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with external research agencies and managing agency relationships.
