Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, PMO, the Business Solution Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead and manage the Product to Cash (P2C) business solution, which contains a dynamic set of business and technology transformation projects and enhancements that enable the growth of PointClickCare. The P2C business solution underpins the primary ways that PointClickCare does business; it includes many (but not all) business capabilities below Product Management, Marketing & Sales Management, Customer Onboarding, Partner Management, and Financials Management.
The Business Solution Manager role is a combination of strategy definition, critical thinking, and delivery leadership. You will be directing delivery teams to drive business outcomes focused on time-to-value and time-to-revenue. As the Business Solution Manager, you will ensure that a diverse delivery team of Application Analyst(s), Business Architect(s), Solution Architect(s), Data Architect(s), Project Manager(s), Business Analyst(s), Process Manager(s), and Integration Specialist(s) mobilize cross-functional efforts throughout the software development lifecycle to develop enablement plans and deliverables, ensure organizational readiness, and then manage the launch of the solution from inception to operations in a way that maximizes the outcomes of our business partners such as Finance, Legal, Professional Services, Customer Support & Operations, Product & Engineering Operations, Marketing, Sales & Partnerships, etc.
The Business Solution Manager role will enable the business strategy in partnership with business partners through successful delivery of scalable end to end solutions for PointClickCare.
To accomplish all of this, you will need to use your SaaS technology, implementation, product/program management experience, and business acumen to build effective cross-functional partnerships, influence the business, and use organizational skills to navigate ambiguity. You will work in conjunction with technology leaders, business leaders, and cross functional teams to successfully launch key new projects. This is a highly visible role interfacing with all levels of stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify P2C challenges/risks and work with project/program managers to develop appropriate mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with OCIO leaders and business partners to prioritize projects in the roadmap based on company objectives in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment
  • Be accountable for the smooth running of day-to-day operations and for building and maintaining a culture of high standards of practice
  • Create a roadmap for the business solution by evaluating OKRs, business goals, business partner needs and collaborating with the Enterprise Architecture team
  • Provide support to the team’s resource budget, including any external professional services funding expectations
  • Act as the first point of escalation for issues raised by Project/Program Managers and business partners
  • Manage and deliver various internal initiatives and special assignments as assigned
  • Be the P2C expert to best support and empower business partners to make strategic and thoughtful decisions
  • Provide regular visibility to project status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics), Return of Investment (ROI), adoption and value delivered on a standard cadence through status reporting and portfolio reviews
  • Act as the primary contact between OCIO and business partners fostering a meaningful and trusting relationship with them
  • Support OCIO governance & processes to guide and coach business partners
  • Lead steering committees for the assigned portfolio of projects aligned to the P2C business solution
  • Support resource capacity planning processes to support quarterly reforecasts and annual planning
  • Act as the primary contact between OCIO teams, share communications/updates, champion rollout of OCIO initiatives to business partners
  • Ensures projects are optimally staffed to effectively achieve milestones
  • Support adherence to standards across the entire program/project life cycle to include best practices, tools, and documentation of project artifacts
  • Build, lead, manage and deliver a robust roadmap of business and technology transformation projects in OCIO as the Business Solution Manager for Product to Cash
  • Support and maintain a backlog of requests by prioritizing them appropriately depending upon the business strategy
Required Technologies
  • Working knowledge of Master Data Management with direct business experience in best practice design and reporting (BI) relationship
  • Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite platform with direct business experience; this may include Sales Order Management, Audit & Fulfilment, Invoice & Presentment and/or Accounts Receivable (Cash Mgt.); direct PCI and/or ACH experience a plus
  • Experience with project portfolio and project management tools; examples include Jira, Smartsheet, and MS Project
  • Hands-on working and administration knowledge of Salesforce.com, including but not limited to Sales Cloud, CPQ and Billing; CPQ Certification required; Billing Certification a plus
  • All other technology experience in pricing & packaging/CPQ, contract & agreements (e.g.,Conga) subscription, billing, collaboration, and customer success a plus
  • Hands-on working knowledge of integration technology capability and design, including direct API and connectors (ex. Boomi), in Salesforce and NetSuite; all other technologies a plus
Required Experience
  • Ability to manage conflict and drive decisions
  • Experience in program management, product management, management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations or strategic planning in a SaaS Company
  • Intellectual curiosity to understand how things connect, and a drive to constantly be looking for how to make it better, ability to roll sleeves up and get work done
  • Ability to distill complex issues, develop and implement effective strategies to drive alignment across multiple client groups
  • Ability to understand complex product functionality, design, and technical issues to drive the right priorities, trade-offs, and resolutions
  • Design thinking, PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Robust business acumen and ability to partner with senior business leaders to drive initiatives
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of product development processes, the software development lifecycle, release management or customer journey, and product to cash/hire to retire/procure to pay processes and systems
  • Exceptional presentation, oral, and written communication skills
  • Experience leading and managing robust portfolio of projects that enables strategy for lifecycles such as Product to Cash, Hire to Retire, Procure to Pay etc.
