Responsible for the strategic management of the Dispatch (Delivery Driver), Distribution, Invoicing, Inventory activities, Comprehensive understanding of LTL/FTL shipments in compliance with the Maple Lodge Farms’ policies and Vision.

What you will be doing

• Involved in Collective agreement adherence and negotiations
• Oversees Daily Delivery Driver processes and accountabilities.
• Controlled and consistent manner.
• Responsible to track EVP communication, resolve any service failures and communicate all issues to the appropriate departments.

• Responsible to receive rates from carriers, review rate agreements, negotiate and format the rates as per the yearly freight tender requirements.
• Responsible to resolve invoice discrepancies with accounts payable.
• Performs setup, layout and ensures the efficient utilization of space.
• Manner and in accordance with individual set targets. Prepare, recommend and manage a monthly budget for the direct area of responsibility by conducting analysis and preparing data to support requested budget.

• Recommend, develop and implement enhancements and improvements to departmental policies and procedures.
• Liaises regularly with clients, suppliers, and transport companies. Involved in qualification performance evaluation and ensures carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit and delivery. Negotiates transportation rates and services.

What you will bring

• Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field an asset or relative equal work experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS, and all other workplace H&S regulations;
• Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.;
• Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt (minimum) an asset
• PLog or CITT an asset
• Minimum seven years of experience required, including a minimum of five years in a Supervisory role, in Management of Production, Distribution / Logistics experience in the food industry, preferably in a ready-to-eat and unionized environment;
• Team-player with excellent leadership skills, able to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders;
