Position Summary
The Social Sales Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline along with managing all aspects of the sales process including planning, business development, and growth opportunities. Working in conjunction with all areas of the organization, the Social Sales Coordinator will prepare and finalize quotes, drive sales revenue, manage client and venue relationships, and focus on retention and growth of existing clients. This position is comprised of an average 40-hour work week with the expectation that hours will be flexible and overtime may occur. This position is split between our main office, venues downtown Toronto, and at events in-person/onsite.
Job Duties
Sales & Account Management
- Ensure all steps of the sales process are completed for all accounts
- Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to build account plans for key and strategic accounts
- Engage with assigned Production Managers to determine successful solutions for the clients in line wit h their budget
- Work with venue sales and marketing teams to develop new mutually beneficial sales and marketing strategies
- Manage all sales activities using Hubspot
- Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals
- Coordinate with venue staff for client site visits
- Attend venue BEO meetings as required
- Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams of your accounts
- Manage all financial aspects of events including clients budget, profit margin, onsite additions, and post event financial reconciliation
- Connect with clients and planners to initialize conversations about their events
Business Development
- Uphold the professional image and name of the company
- Provide and maintain a positive relationship with all clients, vendors, employees, and independent contractors through effective communication
- Actively engage with clients and industry professionals at conferences, trade shows, and social events
- Develop and maintain an ongoing list of accounts and contacts for growth activities and log them in Hubspot
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts
General
- Comply with company, industry, and legislative health & safety policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
- Participate in ongoing sales trainings and other industry development opportunities
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times
- Other duties as required by company
- Attend company meetings as required
- Maintain a cooperative and sensitive teamwork attitude when dealing with clients
Requirements
- A strong commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction
- Strong negotiation skills with clients and vendors
- Knowledge and experience in the live events industry is an asset
- Ability to communicate orally and written at a professional working proficiency level or greater in the English language
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- Experience using Hubspot and PandaDoc software is an asset
- Experience using Flex Rental Solutions software is an asset
- Experience in various aspects of the sales process, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning
- Knowledge of current workplace health & safety regulations, fire & building codes, and AODA regulations in relation to the live entertainment industry is an asset
- Post-secondary education in event production, business sales, or hospitality
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live event environment is an asset
- 1+ years experience in a sales/account position
- Valid driver's license and vehicle is an asset
- Experience working in a hotel or events venue environment is an asset
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Proficiency with the use of computer hardware, software, and programs, including the Internet, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
