Job Description
Do you love connecting with potential candidates, promoting the places you work and aren’t afraid to reach out to people directly? We’re looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our People & Culture crew and provide recruitment support to our team. If you’re a creative thinker and have an innate ability to get things done, we want to hear from you!


Working closely with our People Operations Team Lead you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of the full recruitment cycle. You’ll get creative and help develop strategy and improve processes to ensure we’re being as effective as possible! You’re day to day will look at bit like this:


What you’ll do:


  • Review resumes, conduct phone screens and schedule interviews across different time zones for hiring teams.
  • Input employee information into our HRIS (BambooHR) and maintain accurate records
  • Work with our cross-Canada teams to support a variety of recruitment, onboarding and other People Operations projects as needed
  • Provide recruitment coordination across our teams
  • Proactively identify gaps and opportunities for process or system improvements in the recruitment process
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Mogo, regularly using our suite of products, sharing the brand with friends and family, and providing feedback to the team for improvements
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interviewing process
  • Submit background check requests and conduct reference checks
  • Draft offers and documents relating to employment matters as requested


What you’ll need:


  • Good experience with various online tools and databases with the ability to pick up new technology quickly.
  • Prior work experience that involved helping coordinate recruitment and interviewing. Ideally you’ve been involved in the hiring process.
  • Strong administration and organization skills in a fast paced environment, bonus if it’s tech or a startup!
  • Strong nose for talent with success in finding the diamond in the rough
  • Excellent communication skills with natural energy and ability to network and build successful relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
