Administrative Full-time New Position
We are looking for a highly motivated Recruitment Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition team to assist in the coordination of full-cycle recruitment activity at the College, including job postings and interview bookings. This position will support the generation of talent pipelines for academic, administrative, and support staff positions.
Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. It is anticipated that these positions will meet the needs of the department through a hybrid work arrangement with approximately one day per week on-site at Conestoga’s 3065 King Street East location in Kitchener and four days remote. Additional on-site work may be required to coordinate recruitment activities such as in-person interviews and events.

Responsibilities
- Plans, supports, and facilitates on-site or virtual information sessions and recruitment events
- Drafts and posts job postings on College website, and various other associations, websites, and job boards (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed)
- Supports the maintenance of recruitment and new hire documentation via SharePoint filing system
- Contributes to continuous improvement projects such as developing recruitment strategy and employer brand, creating recruitment materials, updating employment website, etc.
- Creates and conducts candidate skills assessments and testing
- Maintains interview questionnaires and evaluations; prepares interview packages for panel members
- Researches and identifies posting opportunities for hard to fill positions, including determining job board reach, target audience, and advertising methods
- Creates and maintains a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Provides hiring managers with internal and external applications; troubleshoots issues with online application system
- Coordinates interviews with complex calendars such as Executive Deans and the President’s Office
- Completes reference checks and other candidate vetting
- Monitors recruitment inbox and responds to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, such as prospective applicants, candidates, hiring managers, and recruitment team members
- Schedules online, video and in-person interviews, including room bookings; ensures required A/V equipment is available
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to correspond diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders in confidential and sensitive situations
- Minimum two-year Diploma required; education in Human Resources or a related Business field is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to establish priorities and flexibility in response to changing circumstances
- Two years of experience in a complex office environment; experience supporting recruitment activities is preferred
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications including, OneDrive, SharePoint, OneNote, Forms, Excel, Word, Teams, etc. is required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment with conflicting pressures and deadlines; experience working within a unionized environment is considered an asset
- Experience with LinkedIn, Indeed, VidCruiter, McQuaig, applicant tracking, and candidate management systems is considered an asset
