Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to prepare materials, reports and correspondence and provide summaries and recommendations
  • Ability to conduct interviews for a variety of entry level positions
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships, liaise effectively with senior managers and facilitate the completion of various activities
  • Develop and deploy onboarding and offboarding process – documentation required
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, and standards of recruitment and selection
  • Sound experience in recruitment and office administration in a public sector organization.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, diplomacy and tact in dealing with varied day-to-day issues and matters of a confidential nature
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-pace team environment
  • Ability to travel within BC periodically, as required.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and projects, coordinate work with others, keep management apprised of issues and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Sound experience working with complex, time sensitive, Human Resource Information systems.
  • Ability to interpret, explain and apply procedures and policies
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, with emphasis in Word and Excel
  • Maintain and execute the current Contract Requisition process.
  • Assist with the development of the IMT People Strategy

Qualifications:

  • Experience building meaningful relationships with the team, other internal departments, and vendors.
  • Understanding of recruitment process
  • Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated, and driven to succeed.
  • Must be able to manage conflicts amongst the team and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Must have an adaptable work style to overcome unexpected challenges during the project.
  • Deals comfortably with senior management and can present and converse with people in positions of authority.
  • Certification in Human Resources Management or other relevant discipline. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the Employer
  • Good judgment and the capacity to independently evaluate situations and identify the optimum course of action.
  • Must be a team player and willing to assist the team in whichever way necessary to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams.
