With the support of the HR Manager, theHR Coordinator/Recruiterprovides support to the Human Resources Team in recruitment-related activities and in coordinating organizational events and activities. The HR Coordinator/Recruiter assists managers in completing the full recruitment cycle for new hires and overseeing employee recognition initiatives. The position requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to responsibly handle confidential information.
Reporting Structure
The HR Coordinator/Recruiter reports directly to the HR Manager and Recruitment Lead.
Coordinator Activities
As Coordinator, your job encompasses some of the following:
- Creates and distributes internal announcements, memos and communications
- Other duties as required
- Update the HR Manager/HR Director on Coordinator Activities
- Oversee Kudos program (Recognition)
- Join and participate in the Health & Safety Committee
- Manage Milestone Anniversary programs
Recruiter Activities
As Recruiter, your job encompasses some of the following:
- Manage administrative aspect of recruitment; file management, photocopying, scanning, and other duties as required
- Provide updates on progress and recruitment strategies to the HR Manager/HR Director and Recruitment Lead
- Create and distribute new hire packages as required
- Maintain recruitment-related templates
- Manage all job postings both externally and on Country Grocer’s company website
- Work with the store management teams to assess their individual recruitment needs
- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment; create and post job postings both internally and externally, screen candidates, schedule and participate in interviews
- Implement recruitment strategies to source and recruit for a variety of positions; participate in career fairs to maximize the pool of candidates
- Track and manage uniform and name tag inventory
- Other recruitment-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment an asset
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management preferred, student or graduate
- Familiar with the following (or similar) software applications: Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, Indeed Hiring Platform

Work Conditions
- Office Environment, Full Time, 40 hours per week. Based out of our Cedar Country Grocer location
