The Organization
The Union of BC Municipalities is a member driven association formed in 1905 to provide a common voice for local governments in BC. UBCM’s vision is to effectively represent and serve all local governments in BC by being the recognized advocate for their common interests and by meeting the common needs of our membership. UBCM achieves this through policy work, program management and member services.

The Position
The Victoria Office Coordinator provides administrative support to the operations of the Victoria Office. The Office Coordinator manages all aspects of Local Government House corporate operations including building management and corporate procurement. This position is also responsible for providing a variety of administrative services to staff and UBCM funding programs.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Diploma in office administration or other relevant discipline, preferred
- Must have 3 or 4 years of relevant experience, providing administrative services
The successful candidate must have the following skills and abilities:
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and able to use other standard office and accounting software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail when communicating
- Able to interpret, manage, and coordinate large volumes of information
- Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, clients (including elected officials) and members of the public while providing excellent service and upholding the highest standards of tact, discretion and professionalism
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within timelines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills

Starting at $58,457 annually, $2,436 semi-monthly
