Marketing Lead/Manager Jobs

Since 1986 Clipper has provided marine transportation services in the Pacific Northwest, the region we love. We operate the Victoria Clipper V, a fast ferry that connects Seattle, WA and Victoria, B.C. We are also offering whale watching tours in Seattle with the San Juan Clipper. Since 2016, Clipper has been a proud part of the FRS Group, an international shipping and maritime company with headquarters in Germany.

Position Overview:

FRS Clipper is seeking a motivated Marketing Leader who will lead our marketing strategy to build product and brand awareness. The successful candidate will own all marketing activities and the marketing budget, use data driven insights to generate demand for our products, and will generate opportunities through B2C and B2B channels. We are a face-to-face first company.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Owns the creation and execution of the FRS Clipper marketing strategy
• Owns the communication of the FRS Clipper brand and adherence to its standards
• Partners with other departments to effectively manage business opportunities
• Measures and reports performance and success
• Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including HQ in Germany
• Supports Sales, Product and Reservations departments as internal service provider to drive the success of our products
• Owns the budget and delivers all activities within budget
• Turns insights into action by combining available data and experience for online and offline marketing activities
• Identifies and develops additional marketing platforms and outlets

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Google Ads certification preferred
• Thorough understanding of all digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, SoMe)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Legal right to be employed in the U.S. or Canada
• Experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, and other marketing campaigns
• Foreign language proficiency is a plus
• Travel or hospitality experience and/or travel and insider local knowledge of the Pacific Northwest
• Minimum of 6 years previous marketing experience required, at least three years of integrated digital marketing experience
• Ability to travel regionally and in Canada and the US
• Highly creative in creating marketing campaigns with a focus on digital marketing
• Bachelor’s in Marketing or Business. Masters preferred
• Experience working hands-on with wide range of digital marketing and advertising tools and technology
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal direct supervision
• Advanced knowledge of marketing software applications (Microsoft Office Suite/Wordpress), database and CRM systems
