Role Introduction
Cathay Pacific Airways is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join the Vancouver Marketing Team in a salaried capacity. The successful candidate will support the planning and execution of effective regional and national campaigns to generate direct sales revenue and achieve or exceed target.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management

• Liaise with external marketing agencies as appropriate to expand customer reach
• Support the development bottom-up, regional marketing campaigns
• Support the adaptation and execution of global campaigns to suit the local market
• Ensure all campaign / marketing materials are on brand and are kept up to date

Key Destination and Transit Promotion

• Help to produce and execute campaign materials for key destinations (Hong Kong and China), including marketing applicable for the country and the required direct sales deliverables

Loyalty

• Deliver annual Cathay members’ engagement event in key markets as required
• Support regional or country campaigns to recruit Cathay members
• Develop and deliver the regional ‘earn and burn’ opportunities that are approved by Head Office
• Leverage Cathay member propositions to develop sales campaigns as appropriate in order to drive sales and revenue

Programmatic Marketing

• Feed in the requirements for programmatic media buy for regionally initiated campaigns to Head Office
• Develop local and regional programmatic campaigns as required

General

• Leverage databases and partnerships to ensure maximum customer reach
• Provide support to gain country and regional port updates into the local marketing environment in order to formulate plans to ensure maximum campaign effect
• Support and/or execute regional events, as needed
• Any other reasonable task as required

E&A

• Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required

Requirements
Academic Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma / Certificate in a relevant field such as, Marketing or Campaign Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required

Knowledge, Skills, Training And Experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptive to and embraces constant change
• Knowledge of, or experience in, the airline industry is a distinct advantage
• Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator is an advantage
• Excellent level of PC literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Additional Requirements

• Must successfully pass all pre-screening clearances, including a background check and pre-employment drug screen upon contingent job offer
• Strong cognitive reasoning and mathematical skills are essential
• Must comply with the Company’s mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination policy
• Must have the right to live in work in the Canada
• Must be willing and able to travel within North America and overseas, if required
