We are currently looking for a full time Network Specialist IV for our Richmond office. Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of IT Services, the Network Specialist is a key member of the IT Services team who will be required to lead numerous infrastructures, software operations and project initiatives.

The Network Specialist IV under operations and projects will be responsible for the architecting, design, build, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of ZEMA's network and security infrastructure. You will optimize our company's IT network as well as evaluating our network's performance, collaborating with our IT teams to increase network capacity, availability and overseeing network security.

Job Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of our current networks
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Evaluate and perform audit on completion projects and any relevant documentation
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Maintain an inventory of IT property and assets
• Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, load balancers, switches, firewalls, LAN and WAN hardware, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, VPN and QoS etc..
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Prepare and maintain networking documentation network and cabling layouts
• Investigating faults in the network
• Create and Report network status to key stakeholders
• Collect all data in more organized way to ensure better IT documentation process
• Assist to set up phone base and configuration of various network
• Perform troubleshoot and resolve VOIP systems and VPN related problems
• Arranging scheduled upgrades

Qualifications

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers, etc.
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
• Network security experience.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• LAN and WAN experience.\An analytical mind
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
