Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintains computers, and other technology equipment such as cell phones and RF Guns.
  • Maintain building security software.
  • Giving end-user both remote and in-person support on Mac and Windows platforms - Office suite, MS Teams, Slack, Anti-Virus (Sophos), RDP and web-based apps;
  • Contributes to the overall operations of a company by writing and computer documentation
  • Perform risk analysis and issues control.
  • Complete and support testing activities to ensure that solutions meet stipulated requirements, and create system documentation and user manuals.
  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs.
  • Maintaining IT inventory - assets tracking;
  • Performs one-on-one computer coaching on technology when necessary
  • Performs various duties depending on circumstances and current company needs
  • Stays abreast of current trends and technology and makes recommendations that will help a company keep up with technology standards in the industry
  • Monitor & ensure systems standards are being maintained throughout the organization.
  • Troubleshooting both complex and routine computer issues (Desktop/Laptop, phone, RF guns);
  • Giving support for Windows environment - Active Directory (Azure), O365, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
  • Acts quickly in crises so the company can resume normal operations as soon as possible
  • Strives to resolve malware and virus issues within personal workstations and a company's network
  • Providing support to network and related infrastructure (VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS, etc.) cabling and Wireless environments;
  • Installs software and hardware systems, including new equipment, anti-virus programs, CRM programs, and other tools commonly used by a company's team members
  • Adapts quickly to changing circumstances, new standards, and requests by company management
  • Communicates with individuals by phone and email to solve technical problems
  • Onboarding and off-boarding users, welcoming new hires in person and remotely - making sure they have a smooth onboarding process;


Key Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
  • High level of professionalism, customer service, discretion, and diplomacy are required.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and be able to provide a high standard of customer experience to the internal and external user
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Very good communication abilities
  • Must be self-motivated, with strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and above-average communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Experience with LAN/WAN networks
  • Work requires superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills necessary to direct, plan, and administer a large variety of complex tasks.
  • Should be process-oriented with the ability to problem-solve and organize, must be able to pay attention to details, and be committed to a high level of accuracy.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are critical to the success of this position.


Educational Requirements:


  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 programs, and if have any experience supporting any ERP / WMS / MRP or CRM system is an asset, with preference given to SAP Business One.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, with work experience in a similar position as a computer technician, IT support specialist, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) will be an advantage
