Job Description
Geotech Drilling Group of Companies is actively seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources (HR) team at our head office in Prince George, BC.

Responsibilities


  • Work with Microsoft software to manage data and information related to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)/Human Resource (HR) functions.
  • Assist Geotech's HR team with employee onboarding procedures.
  • Providing ongoing support to Project Managers, Supervisors, and workers in implementing Geotech's safety standards in alignment with regulations and client requirements.
  • Create and maintain employee files as per Geotech's administrative methods.
  • Provide administrative support to multiple departments, including the ownership group.
  • Additional administrative tasks and projects as required.
  • General filing, photocopying, scanning, and ordering supplies.
  • Setting up and maintaining employee safety courses and occupational testing.
  • Maintain electronic safety system in support of remote field staff.


Professional Experience / Qualifications


  • Experience working in a project-based working environment is considered an asset.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • 1-3 years in an office setting, preferably in an industrial environment (Drilling, Mining, Construction, Forestry etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in an industrial setting, drilling being an asset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Works well under pressure and performs well within tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience, are considered an asset.


Education


  • College Diploma or University Degree is considered an asset.


Reports to: HR Manager


Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.


Salary: $21.00 - $26.00 - Based on education and experience.
